About Us

My Body My Voice is a fearless collective dedicated to amplifying stories shaped by abortion
through raw, unfiltered storytelling. Our powerful videos directly challenge those who try to dismiss our

They tried to deny our stories, but they cannot erase our reality. They tried to take our body,
but they will never silence our voice.

Melissa’s Story

Melissa Ohden’s life began amidst unthinkable odds. In 1977, her mother was forced to undergo a saline infusion abortion—a procedure designed to end Melissa’s life before it began. For five harrowing days, she endured the toxic solution intended to take her life. But against all expectations, Melissa survived. Born alive, her life was spared thanks to the courage of a nurse who defied orders to let her die.

Her survival became the foundation of her life’s mission: to give abortion survivors a voice. As the founder of the Abortion Survivors Network, Melissa has connected hundreds of survivors, bringing their stories out of the shadows and into the light. Her work ensures that these lives, once dismissed, can no longer be ignored or silenced.

Nelly’s Story

At just 18, Nelly Roach found herself in a Planned Parenthood clinic, clutching $246 to pay for an abortion. Trapped and overwhelmed, she believed there was no other choice. But when her name was called, something within her changed. Instead of stepping into the procedure room, she walked out and chose life for her son—an incredible blessing who would help transform her future.

That moment of courage became a defining point in her life, inspiring her to create Choose Life Marketing. Through her work, Nelly empowers pregnancy centers to reach abortion-vulnerable women, providing them with the hope and support she once needed. Her mission is clear: to ensure that no woman feels forced into choosing abortion because she believes she has no other option.
